Speech pathology, previously called speech therapy, is the diagnosis, management and treatment of individuals who are unable to communicate effectively or who have difficulty with feeding and swallowing.

A broad range of clients can receive speech pathology services. Clients may include children who fail to develop normal communication or people who acquire communication disabilities as a result of disease, injury or a stroke. Speech pathologists also assist a variety of clients with feeding or swallowing problems.


Initial assessment: $120
Standard consult: $65

All patients will require a standardised initial assessment that tests all aspects of language and speech. This takes approximately 60-90 minutes and an 8 page report will then be made and sent to all necessary parties including Parents, Doctor and Teachers. From this assessment, a treatment plan will be formulated  and discussed with the patient and parents, if required.
